Camellias and Lace
This year the chateau in Rájec nad Svitavou welcomes the return of the
Camellia Exhibition, this time enlivened by an added element equally as
delicate and rare as the beautiful shrub itself. The display areas of
the chateau will not only be decorated with flowering camellias, but
also bobbin lace and needlelace, which is being brought in on loan from
the Vamberk Lace Museum and the Vamberk Lacemakers’ School.
The town of Vamberk hosts a strong tradition of bobbin lace, which is used to create fantastic forms, wall hangings/pictures, jewellery and interior decorations. The exhibition will have its exhibits on sale – you can take home lace and flowers, as well as numerous other decorative gifts. Also open will be the Kruh Gallery and restaurant.
